About this experience

The Opera Garnier is one of the great symbols of Paris, as representative as Notre Dame or the Louvre, and world famous for The Phantom of the Opera. This luxurious opera and ballet theater is steeped in history and is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. Walk through its spaces as the aristocrats did: climb the majestic imperial staircase, stroll through the Grand Foyer and admire its lavish architecture. Designed by Charles Garnier for Napoleon III, its construction was complicated by the presence of subway water, which gave rise to the myth of the "lake" under the opera house. Although the mysterious Phantom's lair cannot be visited, there is much to see: its monumental facade, pink marble columns, detailed decorations and a temporary exhibition that further enriches the visit.
