About this experience

More than 700,000 visitors come to the Rodin Museum each year to admire the artist's famous sculptures. Although Rodin devoted much of his life to creating a museum bearing his name, he would never have imagined its enormous popularity. Here you can see original casts of iconic works such as The Thinker, The Kiss, The Gates of Hell and many others. The museum occupies the former Hôtel Biron, an elegant 18th century hôtel particulier built in the Rocaille style. This luxurious building and its gardens offer the ideal setting to discover the sculptor's masterpieces and his influence on Impressionist art. Walk through the pieces that marked Rodin's career, from his early works rejected by academic standards to the international recognition he gained after his death. Many sculptures have remained in storage for years, and their current exhibition offers a more complete perspective of the master's artistic development. The carefully arranged rooms reveal his creative evolution, and you will also see a recreation of the Hôtel Biron as it was in his time. Rodin began installing his works in the gardens in 1908. As you stroll through the lush Sculpture Garden, full of flowers and trees, it is hard to believe that you are still in the heart of Paris, among bronze and marble statues hidden among the vegetation.
