Fundació Joan Miró: Admission without queues

Immerse yourself in the creative universe of Joan Miró at the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona, a space dedicated to exploring his surrealist, fauvist and expressionist masterpieces. Miró, celebrated for his paintings, sculptures, murals and ceramics, used colors and shapes as a poetic language, creating compositions that, according to Ernest Hemingway, were as innovative as James Joyce's Ulysses. In 1968 he founded the institution with the vision of providing an international center for young artists, encouraging artistic experimentation through Espai 13 and other initiatives. Today the foundation holds more than 15,000 works, including more than 8,000 drawings, 217 paintings, 178 sculptures, ceramics, textiles and graphic works. It also organizes unique contemporary exhibitions and academic activities in collaboration with other institutions.
