California Academy of Sciences: Entrance

The California Academy of Sciences, located in Golden Gate Park, combines an aquarium, planetarium, rainforest and natural history museum in a single space. The facility offers exhibits, shows and educational activities for visitors of all ages. Admire the indoor coral reef, home to thousands of marine animals, and visit the African Hall to observe the penguin colony, including the youngest, Pogo and Ozzie. Enjoy the 75-foot planetarium shows, which are presented throughout the day. Tour the impressive four-level rainforest, where you can see birds, reptiles and amphibians, and participate in interactive activities in the Naturalist Center.
