Prague Astronomical Clock: Entrance + Introduction + Optional Audioguide

Begin your experience with a 20-minute introductory talk that will provide you with the essential historical context and the most relevant facts about the tower, so that you will feel familiar with it upon arrival. Then skip the ticket office lines and head straight through the turnstiles to explore the iconic Gothic clock tower on your own. Every hour, the mechanism comes to life: two windows open and the twelve apostles appear to show themselves to the public, while the figure of Death rings his bell to remind us of the passing of time (although all the other characters shake their heads). The clock also includes representations of the movement of the planets, signs of the zodiac and other fascinating details. Surprisingly, about 75% of its components are still the original 15th century ones. You can ascend the tower by elevator or staircase and, once at the top, enjoy a spectacular view of the Old Town Square and the charming historic center of Prague.
