Derby House played a key role during World War II. What once required signing the Official Secrets Act to gain access, today requires only a digital ticket. This complex subway bunker, which was the strategic center of the decisive Battle of the Atlantic, is preserved as it was in 1945. It now houses the Museum of Western Approaches, a veritable time capsule hidden beneath the heart of Liverpool. Inside you can see original documents, instruments and maps used for the analysis of the enemy, as well as one of the two telephones that still exist and that had a direct line to Churchill's War Rooms.
