Lisbon Oceanarium

The Lisbon Oceanarium, located in the modern Parque das Nações, is one of the largest and most impressive aquariums in Europe. Its design, by architect Peter Chermayeff, revolves around a huge central tank that recreates the global ocean and allows you to observe sharks, manta rays, sunfish and hundreds of marine species from different heights and perspectives. Around it are distributed four habitats representing the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian and Antarctic oceans, each carefully recreated with its own flora and fauna. The tour is completely immersive, combining science, education and conservation, with special attention to the protection of vulnerable ecosystems.
