Choosing when to travel to Paris can make the difference between enjoying a magical experience or suffering endless queues. We break it down for you:
The ideal weather for walking around the city. The Luxembourg gardens and the Tuileries explode with color. Temperatures between 10-18°C. Queues at monuments are manageable on weekdays.
Ridatours Council:Reserve your tickets 2-3 weeks in advance.
Long days (until 22h there is light) but very high affluence. It is ESSENTIAL to book everything months in advance. Accommodation prices are skyrocketing.
Ridatours Council:If you are traveling in summer, book Eiffel Tower and Louvre 2 months in advance or you will run out of seats.
The crowds are thinning, the autumn colors are spectacular. Perfect for cultural visits to the Louvre, D'Orsay and Orangerie.
Paris at Christmas is unforgettable. Less queues, but short days. The cruises along the illuminated Seine are spectacular.
The Paris metro network is extensive and efficient. It covers practically all tourist spots.
